Community collaboration and governance.

Our Governance

The following six St’át’imc Communities are aligned with the Interior Health Regional Boundaries: Xwísten (Bridge River), Sekw’el’was (Cayoose Creek), Ts’kw’aylaxw (Pavilion), Tsal̓álh (Seton), Xaxli’p, and T’ít’q’et (Lillooet).

St’át’imc Outreach Health Services (SOHS) , the Health Directors, and Chiefs and Council of the northern St’át’imc Communities have directed the creation of the service plan for the n. SPCC with the support of the FNHA Interior Region Primary Care team. This collaboration will foster the integration of n. SPCC services with those of both the local PCN and the FNHA Regional Nursing Team, to maximize the health and wellness of every individual and family who belongs to the northern St’át’imc Nation.

Consistent with FNHA’s Leadership Statement, as an FNHA interim-operated site, the FNHA will “listen and take our cue from community to best understand and support local decision-making.” The n. SPCC will be directed and driven by the northern St’át’imc Nation. All parties are bound to work together under a governance structure that improves health outcomes by giving life to, and empowering community voice.

The n. SPCC governance body is the St’át’imc Primary Care Technical Table (SPCTT), made up of one member from each of the six communities who meet bi-weekly and is facilitated by the FNHA Interior Region Primary Care team and the n. SPCC Operations Director.

To ensure that the initiative is Community-driven and Nation-based, and that lived experience shapes the Centre, the St’át’imc Primary Care Technical Table (SPCTT) was established to plan, develop, and implement the service plan for the SFNPCC, including informing scope of services and service delivery model. The SPCTT will identify and address health care gaps to improve access to culturally safe clinical and allied health services and Traditional Wellness offerings.

The centre in Lillooet is interim-operated by FNHA with the advice and guidance of representatives from the six communities of the n. St’át’imc Nation.
