Our Service Model
A primary health care and wellness centre in St’át’imc Territory, grounded in St’át’imc Culture, Language, and Traditions.
The n. SPCC aims provides welcoming, safe, and accessible care for all Nation members – characterized by collaboration, transparency, and a deep connection with the community.
With Elders on-site to share their knowledge and language, we provide consistent and regular care rooted in Traditional Wellness practices. This centre serves as a welcoming primary care clinic for the Communities, providing comprehensive health and wellness services tailored to their needs. Our commitment to Traditional Wellness guides our efforts as we strive to address not only physical health but also spiritual, emotional, and mental well-being.
Through embracing a team-based approach and building strong partnerships, the n. SPCC provides coordinated and aligned services, customized to the unique needs of our members. The n. SPCC is a centre where individuals are empowered to take charge of their health journey, supported by caring and, qualified health care providers in a culturally safe environment.
Our Approach
The n. SPCC will primarily serve northern St’át’imc Nation members and their families. As capacity permits, services will first be extended to other First Nations and Indigenous populations, and then to non-Indigenous people in any of the six Communities. The n. SPCC is a space free of judgement and bias, with high standards of cultural safety and humility.
The n. SPCC is not intended to replace existing partner services but rather to enhance the services available to our members, ensuring access without barriers.
